Jack graduated from Durham with a degree in Biology and subsequently worked for Syngenta. Initially producing DH wheat plants at Jealott’s Hill but later moving to their hybrid wheat breeding site at Cambridge. He has also tested novel seed treatments for sugar beet in controlled environments plus later evaluated cannabis strains for potential pharmaceutical use. He currently works in the Crop Transformation team at NIAB where he has made transgenic barley plants but is currently focused on transforming rice for ENSA researchers.
