Albert is a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Biology at the University of Oxford. His research focuses on the genetic and genomic engineering of cereal root-associated bacteria to enable root nodule symbioses in cereals. He earned his PhD in Synthetic Biology from Imperial College London, where he developed a novel approach to engineering heterologous nitrogen fixation and nodulation in root-associated bacteria.
